Mick is the founding partner of Schumacher & Associates, Inc.  He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Kearney, Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, and a graduate of the University of Colorado with a Masters Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting.  He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), an AICPA Accredited Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and AICPA Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV).  He is licensed as a CPA in multiple states. Professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants and has served on the Colorado Society of CPA’s Accounting and Auditing Standards Committee. 


In addition to his audit partner duties, Mick's areas of focus include business valuation services, litigation support, personal financial planning and business consulting.


Mick served for five years as an officer and director of Coloradan’s for Nebraska, the Colorado chapter of the University of Nebraska Alumni Association and is a past president of the organization.  Mick is a member of the American Legion and AMVETS.  Mick also has been a long-time blood donor. In 2013 he was one of the honorees at the Bonfils Blood Center donor appreciation banquet in Denver, Colorado for lifetime blood donations of 10 gallons or more. Mick grew up in Nebraska and his fellow Nebraskan heroes are Warren Buffett, the Oracle of Omaha and the world’s greatest investor, and J. Sterling Morton, the first territorial governor of Nebraska and founder of Arbor Day. Mick has adopted nearly 1,000 orphaned trees and transplanted them to his formerly treeless Western Nebraska prairie property.
